Atlanta area families are cordially invited to celebrate Southwest Atlanta’s urban forests at the 8th Annual Urban Forest Festival held at the Outdoor Activity Center (OAC) in Southwest Atlanta, part of the Atlanta Children’s Forest Network (ACFN). The event is free to the public and families are welcome to come learn more about Atlanta’s incredible urban forest and its wildlife inhabitants. The festival will feature educational and entertaining exhibits, tours of the 26-acre Outdoor Activity Center (OAC) urban forest, food, giveaways and hands-on activities and demonstrations by the West Atlanta Watershed Alliance (WAWA), National Wildlife Federation’s (NWF) Earth Tomorrow program, Keeping it Wild (KIW) and other community partners. Other activities include forest and wildlife games, fun crafts and outdoor skills learning.
