Due to current forecasts and constant rain the past two weeks, the “Christmas in July: Snow Tubing in the Park” event to be held this Saturday has been rescheduled to Saturday, Aug. 10.
“Unfortunately, the ground at Friendship Community Park is so waterlogged and infirm it cannot currently support the mountain structure with the weight of the snow, nor the trucks needed to deliver the attraction,” said Angela Thompson, special events and projects manager for the City of Milton. “But we’re determined to have the event and have postponed it until Saturday, Aug. 10 in hopes of better conditions.”
The rescheduled event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Friendship Community Park in Crabapple
