Family Volunteer: Hands On Atlanta Day

Atlanta With Kids: Hands On Atlanta Day

I love to introduce my kids to volunteer projects even if it’s as small as helping cleaning up dog park at the Piedmont Park or making a shoebox for Christmas. But I have to admit that with young kids, it’s harder to find a hands on volunteer projects to get them involve in.

So I’m so excited to learn about  (even though a bit late) – Hands On Atlanta Day. This Saturday (October 2nd) you and your family can participate in various community service projects all around Atlanta. It’s free for kids and only $5 per adult.

You might wonder why do we have to pay since we already volunteer our time. The event proceeds will support Hands On Atlanta’s volunteer program.

So go check out the family projects available and register for a fun day with your kids!
