This year February 14th is not only a Valentine day but also the Chinese New Year day. Atlanta metro has a large amount of people from different background especially Asian (myself included).

It’s a fun way to introduce your kids to different culture without having to fly across the ocean to China.

See where you can enjoy the Chinese New Year Celebration around Atlanta with your kids.

1. The Chinese Cultural Center

Enjoy  two-day festival at the Chinese Cultural Center. You and your kids will enjoy a dragon dance, Chinese opera performances and a traditional drum performance. There will also be calligraphy demonstrations, Chinese arts and crafts and plenty of authentic food on sale.

Time: 10 AM – 4 PM
Cost: $5 per person (includs $2 vendor coupon redeemable inside the festival)

2. The Vietnamese Association of Greater Atlanta (VAC-GA)

The Vietnamese Association of Greater Atlanta is hosting 2010 TET New Year Festival. I don’t have much information on this celebration except it seems to be a party into late night looking from the time they have. For more detail call (770) 256-1038
