Earth Day Kids Fest 2013 @ Chattahoochee Nature Center

Come celebrate Earth Day at Chattahoochee Nature Center – Earth Day Kids Fest. There will be family entertainment by Laughing Pizza, face painting, food for the family and many more.

Earth Day Celebration 2013 @ Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech’s annual Earth Day Celebration is one of the most highly anticipated campus events during spring semester. The event is free and open to the public, and features 70 exhibitors, ecofriendly giveaways, recycling opportunities, a clothing swap, an office supply exchange, live music, a green market, free organic popcorn and more. This is one of the largest Earth Day celebrations in the southeast.

Milton Earth Day Festival 2013 @ Milton

Get ready to celebrate our planet and the many fun things we can do to keep it healthy. This fourth annual Earth Day Festival is shaping up to be the best ever! Held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in beautiful Crabapple at Friendship Community Park, this year’s festival features food, family friendly entertainment, environmental vendors, and much more. Earth Day 2013 @ Woodstock

This year Woodstock has combined several exciting events into one even better one!!! Greenstock Day, Earth Day and the Keep America Beautiful Great American Clean-up are all being celebrated at the same time on Saturday, April 20th. Waste Management and Reworx will be on-site collecting electronics, batteries, cell phones, and CFL bulbs. There will even be a shredder there for old documents. After you unload your recyclables come join the party at the Gazebo. There will be vendors and inflatables,crafts and games for the kids. All while listening to wonderful tunes from a live band.

Earth Day Celebration 2013 @ Fernbank Museum of Natural History

As one of Atlanta’s top resources for environmental programming and education, Fernbank Museum of Natural History is offering a variety of ways to celebrate Earth Day. Programs will be held over several days to accommodate weekend schedules. Some of the programs are:

  • Fernbank Forest Explorations on Saturday, April 20 at 10 am, 11am, 1pm and 2pm. Take in the sights, sounds and smells of springtime on a guided walk through Fernbank Forest with Fernbank educators, presented in celebration of Earth Day. Activity stations along the way will help your family explore topics such as water quality, native biodiversity, animals, and more. Tours begin in the Museum Lobby and last approximately 1.5 hours. Recommended for ages 8 and up. There are no rest rooms or water fountains in the forest, so please plan accordingly. Participants must remain with the group for the duration of the program.
  • Weekend Wonders: Earth Day on Saturday and Sunday, April 20-21, 2013. Enjoy family-friendly activities that celebrate Earth Day

Decatur Earth Day Festival 2013 @ Oakhurst Community Garden Project

The City of Decatur, in partnership with the Oakhurst Community Garden Project, will be holding its annual Decatur Earth Day Festival (DEDF) on Sunday, April 21, 2013, 1-4 p.m. at the Oakhurst Community Garden Project at the corner of Oakview and South McDonough. The celebration will kick off with a pirate led pARRRade that will go from Harmony Park to the Oakhurst GARRRden site, beginning at 12:30 pm. We have an exciting array of events planned for children, youth and adults and include, for example: FREE Pirate Themed ARRRTS & Crafts for Kids, over 40 Vendors, LIVE Music by the Law and Runedog, special Earth Day T-shirt contest, world Famous Cake Contest (pirated themed of course), recycling services for small electronics and batteries, and MORE!
