For latest information of this year Annual Dragon*Con Parade 2012, check out our latest post here: Guide to Annual Dragon*Con Parade 2012 in Atlanta.
Labor day weekend in Atlanta is quite busy with many fun family friendly events and festivals all around town. One of the biggest event in downtown Atlanta this weekend is the Annual Dragon Con convention. It’s the ultimate event for all things Sci-fi and Fantasy.
I have no shame in admitting that we are a big fan of Sci-fi and Fantasy. My husband grew up with Star Wars and Star Trek and now my son follows suite with his own love in Star Wars The Clone War. I, myself, love Harry Porter and Fantasy novels. So a chance to see all our characters come to life and march along the Peachtree Street in downtown Atlanta is one that we won’t miss!

- There are many parking lots all around the area near the parade route. But if you live in town, MARTA might be better option. Kids will enjoy the train ride as well.
- The parade participants are in costume and love to interact with the observers. Small kids might feel a bit overwhelmed so be ready for a squirm and scream.
- After the parade, you can walk around and see more costumers in the area. There are plenty of food options. But you can also pack your lunch and picnic at the Centennial Olympic Park.
