If you drive along the I-85 to midtown, you probably won’t miss the big yellow and blue tent on the side of the highway at Atlantic Station. And that means one thing…The most popular circus show is here in town. This year Cirque du Soleil presents ‘TOTEM’. TOTEM traces the fascinating journey of the human species from its original amphibian state to its ultimate desire to fly.
To celebrate the beginning of the Holiday Season, Cirque du Soleil is partnering with Toys For Tots to offer a short exclusive sneak peek performance of its latest production TOTEM currently playing at Atlantic Station through December 30, 2012.
Cirque du Soleil’s TOTEM sneak peek Event Detail
On Black Friday (November 23, 2012), Atlantans are invited to the blue-and-yellow Big Top to donate a toy for local children in need. In return for spreading festive cheer, people will get the chance to step inside the Big Top for an exclusive sneak peek of the TOTEMUnicycles with Bowls act.
Starting at 11:30am, the Toys for Tots team will be on location to collect donations. At 12:15pm, a special guest will arrive directly from North Pole, climb down the big top and invite the crowd inside to take their seats for the brief performance which will start at 12:30pm. The Unicycles with Bowls act features five unicyclists juggling metal bowls in an astounding display of agility, balance and physical grace, tossing the bowls with their feet and catching them on their heads without using their hands. After the performance, attendees will have the chance to meet and take pictures with a few TOTEM characters.
