Easter Egg Hunt in Atlanta is one of family favorite to welcome spring season. We have compiled a pretty comprehensive list for the Easter Egg Hunt in Atlanta metro area for 2013.

You can typically find many options for Easter Egg Hunt from your local church all around Atlanta. But if you want to check out some of non-church events, here are a round up of Easter Egg Hunt events around Atlanta. Most events are FREE but some events that are hosted at attractions or museums might require admission fee.

Atlanta: Governor’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt*

Activities will include a moonwalk, Easter Bunny Photos, a Cupcake Decorating Station, Face Painting, a Storybook Station featuring Clifford the Big Red Dog, an Easter Egg Roll, an Easter Egg Decorating Station, and of course, an Easter Egg Hunt!  Children are asked to provide their own Easter baskets to collect souvenirs..

Check back with soon for information on how to register for the 11th Annual Easter Egg Hunt.  Please note that the registration will not begin until 3 to 4 weeks before Easter.

Atlanta: Eggstravaganza @ Callandwolde Fine Arts Center

Callanwolde celebrates the coming of spring with its annual Easter egg hunt. “Eggstravaganza” features thousands of candy-filled eggs to find (including three golden “prize” eggs), Atlanta Braves games and prizes, and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny. There will be baked goods for sale, a cake walk, face painting and spring-themed arts and crafts for kids. Bring your basket and your camera for a fun, family day amidst Callanwolde’s beautiful spring gardens and grounds. Arrive early for free parking and shuttle bus service beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Emory University Briarcliff Campus (located one-half mile north of Callanwolde at 1256 Briarcliff Rd.). No onsite parking is available, and in the case of rain, the event will be canceled.

Atlanta: Dinosaur Egg Hunt @ Fernbank Museum

EGG-stra! EGG-stra!

It’s time to dust off those bunny ears and get ready to hippity-hop to Fernbank Museum for the fourth annual Dinosaur Egg Hunt, presented in partnership with Radio Disney, AM590.

To ensure a fun time for all, advance registration is required to participate in a timed egg hunt. Registration opens February 15 for members and March 1 for non-members. Space is limited.

Acworth: Easter Egg Hunt

The City of Acworth Parks and Recreation Department is partnering with Freedom Church to bring the kids of our community a fresh spin on a time honored tradition, Acworth’s second after dark Easter Egg Hunt!!! The Easter Bunny will be dropping in on Friday, March 22 at the Acworth Sports Complex, located at 4000 South Main St. Acworth, GA 30101 and he is bringing 50,000 eggs filled with candy. The Easter Bunny will skydive in at 8:00 p.m.

The hunt will be for all children through the 5th grade. The children will be divided into four age groups. Again this year there will be a Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt on the Horizon Field. This hunt will begin at 7:30 p.m. and is for children through the 5th grade with Special Needs.

Alpharetta: Annual Children’s Easter Egg Hunt

The City of Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department’s annual Chlidren’s Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at North Park Softball Fields 1-4.  The hunt begins promptly at 11am.  Pre-hunt activities including inflatables, exhibitors, and visits with the Easter Bunny begin at 10am.

New for 2013, the hunt is open only to children age 3 to 10 years.  Children will be separated by age groups.  Due to the large volume of participants expected for this event, parent participation and access to the softball fields will be restricted.

Alpharetta: Allergy Friendly Easter Egg Hunt

Join Food Allergy Kids of Atlanta for an exciting and safe fun-filled day as we celebrate Easter at the beautiful Garrard Landing Park in in Roswell, GA!

Instead of candy, Food Allergy Kids of Atlanta will have kids, grouped by age, hunt for over 1,000 toy filled eggs. The event location will be roped off in the park’s grass fields and a pavilion has been reserved for the event.

In addition to age-based egg hunts (which begin at 10:15 a.m.), there will also be arts and crafts, two bouncy houses, raffled Easter Baskets, and a meet-and-greet with the Easter Bunny. Photos will be taken during the event and made available to members as a courtesy of FA Kids of Atlanta.

In order to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all families, NO food or beverages are permitted into the reserved event areas. Bottled water will be served! A restroom is on site for hand washing. Please note the event is being held in a public park. Food brought into the park or playground areas is beyond the control of FA Kids of Atlanta.

Buford: Caring Bunny Event @ Mall of Georgia

Caring Bunny is hopping over to Mall of Georgia for children with special needs and their families on Sunday, April 1, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The events will be held prior to mall openings, so that accommodations can be made to support the sensory, physical and other developmental needs of all guests. No lines, no crowds, no music but lots of fun!! Easter Bunny social stories, coloring activities and other goodies will be provided to make the morning magical for all who attend. Johns Creek: Spring Easter Egg Hunt*

Children have the opportunity to hunt for thousands of filled eggs “hidden” all over Newtown Park’s main soccer field, with special prize eggs in each age-group area!

We’ve added a baby Easter petting zoo with baby chickens, baby sheep, baby ducks, baby rabbits, and more.

Kennesaw: Easter Egg Scramble*

Hop on over to Kennesaw’s Easter Egg Scramble on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Adams Park in Kennesaw. The Kennesaw Easter egg hunt begins promptly at 11am so bring the kids to hunt for thousands of colorful wrapped candy treats and goody-filled eggs (including a few “lucky” eggs that can be redeemed for larger prizes).

Children will be divided into ages on 3 softball fields: 0-3yrs, 4-5yrs and 6 & up. A 4th field will be designated for children with special needs, or those who require assistance. Bring a basket and your camera (we’re expecting a visit from the Easter Bunny). The event will also feature children’s activities, food/beverage vending, and sponsor exhibits.
